Atlanta Co-Working
The ATL is the Empire City of the South, a global transportation hub, a center of higher learning, a sports mecca, and one of the most important cities in the history of hip-hop. It’s also home to no shortage of co-working locations where you can put your mark on the big city.
What Are My options?
If you’ve been following the co-working industry in recent years you definitely know about WeWork. The company currently runs 5 co-working locations in Atlanta, from north of Buckhead to Midtown and closer in.
Like with most co-working companies, WeWork locations in Atlanta typically offer desks that you can reserve on a monthly basis or you can pay to have a spot within the shared space (what the company calls “dedicated desks”). In addition, you should be able to find whole offices for rent at most locations.
Most co-working locations in Atlanta will be well connected to rapid transit, either by way of MARTA or other transport services.
Industrious is another co-working company that runs several locations in Atlanta, from Perimeter to Midtown to Ponce De Leon Avenue, with co-working desks and private offices available for rent.
With Regus you can also find a wide range of locations across the Atlanta area, from Fayetteville to Kennesaw and beyond.
What Are the Prices Like?
The price you pay depends largely on the services you’re reserving, in addition to the location of the co-working space. With Industrious for instance, co-working desks rent for $360-$450 per month depending on location, and private offices range in price for $527 per month to $995 per month.
If you set up at WeWork, you can get a hot desk starting at only $220 per month at the Tower Place location, which has to be one of the lower prices for a co-working space at a major big city in the US. Dedicated desks cost $350 at the Atlanta WeWork offices, and offices can be rented for as little as $500 per month per person at 2 locations in Atlanta.
With Regus it is quite affordable to find a place to work, with locations ranging in price from only $6.70 per person per day, up to $26 per person per day at a downtown location.
What Does My Co-Working Space Provide?
It might be Hotlanta out on the street, but in your Atlanta co-working office the AC works overtime, and you will never be too far from a tall glass of something cold. These offices are also usually designed with a real eye towards inspiration and just making sure you’re feeling comfortable.
Here are some other amenities you should be able to find at most co-working spaces:
  • Unique, captivating artwork
  • Super-fast internet
  • Spacious, unique common areas
  • Ergonomic chairs
  • Key Card access 24/7
  • Security
  • Discounts for local businesses
  • Business-class printers
  • Free drinks (including fruit water and fresh, micro-roasted coffee)
  • Private phone booths so you can take that call in peace
  • Onsite staff to help you out
  • Professional and social events—network and chill™
So...Where Are We Co-working?
Atlanta may be known for gridlock and hot weather, but it’s got so much to offer, and with co-working spaces, there are more good places to work in the city than ever before.
